Hassan elected technical study committee member
The AFC has elected Abdulla Hassan, the supervisor of the training and development centre of the UAEFA, member of the AFC technical studies committee thanks to the vast experience which he possesses in the field. Hassan was also elected member of the technical studies committee of the 21st Gulf Cup in Muscat, AFC U-19 Cup finals, FIFA U-17 World Cup besides attending the 34th conference of the European coaches league in Antakya, Turkey.
Al Ain v Al Wasl venue changed
The Al Ain versus Al Wasl clash in the quarterfinals of the President Cup has been shifted from Al Nahyan Stadium (Al Wahda Club) to Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium (Al Jazira Club). The two sides will clash on Monday 13.1.2014.
UAE Olympic Team To Don All White
The UAE Olympic national team will appear in the all-white colours during the group stage of the competition, according to the decision which was reached during the pre-match technical meeting which was held at the auditorium of the Inter-continental Hotel today. The championship manager and AFC officials have attended the meeting alongside the representatives of the national teams.
Arabian Gulf League Match Day 14 Review
Al Nasr 0-2 Al Wahda
Al Wahda started the second half of the Arabian Gulf League season in a positive manner with a 2-0 away win at Al Nasr’s Al Maktoum Stadium. The result gives Al Wahda 21 points after their Round 14 match, whilst Al Nasr slip in the League but remain on a healthy 23 points.
Damian Diaz fired Al Wahda into a 1-0 lead before half time, benefitting from early substitute Adel Basulaiman’s assist in the 41st minute, and it was Diaz again who netted in the 81st minute to double his side’s lead and take his personal tally for the season to 7 League goals.

UAE FA delegation leaves for Muscat
The UAE football association delegation heads for Muscat today to attend the UAE clash against Syria on the opening day of the AFC U-22 Cup finals there. The delegation is headed by Obaid Salem Al Shamsi, UAEFA vice-president and chairman of the national teams committee, Rashid Ali Al Zaabi, board member and deputy chairman of the national teams committee, Adnan Al Talyani, committee member, Mutrif Al Shamsi, senior national team manager, engineer Mahdi Alim head coach of the senior national team and Abdul Qader Hassan, director of the national teams committee.

Coaches training course gets underway in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi Sports Council has launched a special training course at Al Jazira Club for the national coaches (License B) who are working at the Abu Dhabi five clubs Al Ain, Al Jazira, Al Wahda, Bani Yas and Al Dhafra from January 5 to 23, 2014 in collaboration with the UAEFA.
Uae Fa IT Department hosts workshop for Pro-League clubs employees
The IT Department of the UAEFA hosts in coordination with the Pro-League Committee a workshop for the employees of the pro-league clubs to train on the FA-Net, matches start list. The workshop will be launched at 11am on Tuesday January 7, 2014 at the association’s offices in Dubai.

Bani Yas 1-1 Al Shabab
10-man Bani Yas battled to take a point away from their Arabian Gulf League Round 13 encounter with 2nd-placed Al Shabab at the Baniyas Stadium on Thursday evening. A spectacular overhead kick from Carlos Muñoz had given the hosts an early lead in the game but after just 17 minutes their goalkeeper saw red and the Sky Blues were forced to survive a large proportion of the game a man down. Edgar Bruno equalised from the penalty spot for Al Shabab before missing a second spot kick which could have won it, and the points were shared. Bani Yas now have 17 points following the determined draw, whilst Al Shabab have 26 points and remain 2nd in the table.

Statistics Vindicate Gyan Asamoah As One Of World Best Strikers
Last season Proleague golden boot winner Asamoah Gyan is statistically judged to be one of the best strikers on the planet as the 28 year old was the sixth highest goal scorer in the world for the year 2013.
The Black star who plies his trade on Arabian shores with Al Ain Fc scored a whooping 40 goals for both club and country.
